EASTFORD PRESCHOOL NEWS
9/6/09 – 9/10/09
Teachers Note:
Last week we started getting into the routine at preschool, and making new friends. We decorated our cubbies, put photos and names on our frog friends that help us choose centers, and discussed class rules. We are beginning to raise our hands during circle, and share our toys.
Over the next couple of weeks we will delve into each of the classroom toys and participate in a variety of activities, to help us learn more about one another and our families. Please encourage your child to participate through bringing in photos, sharing family recipes, hobbies, etc when asked – flyer’s with more detailed requests will be sent home! THANK YOU! First request: Please send in photographs that can be hung in your child’s cubby to help decorate!
Thank you for all of the time put into completing all of the various forms and questionnaires we’ve sent home! All of the information gathered helps us to better understand your child and family, and how best to serve you.
The Preschool Classroom schedule and classroom routine are posted online (www.eastfordct.org) under my Instruction tab, for those interested in learning more specifically what we do and expect throughout the day. Check your e- mail for weekly newsletters and other flyers!
A number of preschoolers have come to school with their own snacks, and even some lunches! Please remember that we do NOT provide a lunch time, instead there is a morning and an afternoon snack time. Our snack choices for the first trimester include: applesauce, granola bars, vanilla wafers, rice cakes – cheddar and apple cinnamon, raisins, graham crackers, fig newtons, assorted cereal, carrots w/ranch dip, and goldfish.
