I have always loved reading, sharing what I learn with others, and working with children. This led to a ten year teaching career in first grade, which I loved. Leaving to have more time with family was a hard decision but I knew I'd be back in a school in some capacity in the future. In addition to being the Library Media Specialist at Eastford Elementary School I am the Children's Librarian at Guilford Smith Memorial Library in South Windham. I love seeing my students get excited about reading and sharing stories with them. It is the best feeling when a student tells me they loved a book I recommended or gives me a recommendation about a book they loved! I am also a certified Yoga Instructor and enjoy doing Yoga Storytimes with the younger students once a month and showing students ways that they can use their breath to be mindful and calm.

Eastford Elementary School's Library Catalog Online
My mission at Eastford Elementary School is to meet the academic needs of students while promoting enthusiasm and enjoyment for reading. I guide in the development of research skills through the use of print and technology resources and I encourage students to be life-long readers. There have been many educational companies offering resources for free during this time of school closures, which is fantastic! However, there is so much information available it can be a bit overwhelming. Below are links for resources that families can access. These resources will be on this webpage until the end of the school year. Please use what you can and are interested in. Most of these resources are FREE until the end of the school year; please check each site for updated information on when these resources will be available until.
**If the links ask for a User Name or Password, please email me and I will send you the link.**
