    Health Office Updates

    Catherine Roto R.N., B.S.N.

Under the direction of the Connecticut State Department of Public Health and the Connecticut State Department of Education, we have a health and safety plan in place for COVID this school year.  In following this plan, we hope to provide in-person learning for our students all year.  Guidance remains largely the same as last year with just a few slight changes to some of our strategies.  If we can 'layer" our mitigation or use multiple techniques to reduce the spread of the virus, we will be able to remain in school.  I mentioned in my newsletter all the strategies we are using; mask wearing, handwashing, distancing, ventilation and cleaning.  These practices help keep us safe in the classroom.

In the following procedures, we hope to keep potential exposures outside of the school community.  Families are expected to perform a simple daily screening prior to sending your student to school each day.  This tool is used for illness screening and identifying possible exposure to COVID.  Please read through the procedures.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.
